The HyDrive Admiral Compact Complete Outboard Kit 1 (OBKIT1-COMPACT) is a complete hydraulic steering package for outboards in very narrow engine wells, rated for single outboards up to 250HP or dual counter-rotating outboards up to 500HP total. It pairs a Model 401 helm unit with the 211BH-COMPACT bullhorn cylinder, a limited stroke cylinder with a 178mm (7") stroke and the same overall dimensions as the 212BH. The 211BH-COMPACT has a 135cc capacity, weighs 5kg and is built from bronze, brass and stainless steel. It should only be used for engine wells that cannot be fitted with the other full stroke models, such as the 211BH and 511BH. The Model 401 helm is a 7-piston pump with a 28cc/rev capacity and an in-built lock valve that eliminates torque feedback, so the wheel stays where you put it. It has a maximum working pressure of 1000psi (1500psi absolute maximum), a solid stainless steel helm shaft, a field replaceable shaft seal and a brass wheel nut and washer. With the 401 helm the kit gives 4.8 wheel turns lock to lock. The kit includes 15 metres of 3/8" nylon tubing, 2 litres of HyDrive Ultra-15 hydraulic fluid, all fittings, a bleeding kit and the installation manual. It is designed as a complete do-it-yourself installation, and the packed weight is 15kg. HyDrive backs the Admiral Series with a 2 year warranty for commercial and leisure use.
