The HyDrive 216FM Front-Mount Outboard Kit is a complete hydraulic steering solution using the 216FM cylinder, designed for installation directly onto most V4 and V6 outboards. The cylinder mounts to the front of the motor using four small bolts, and attaches to the outboard's tiller arm using the motor's existing drag-link. The 216FM cylinder requires more room than a bullhorn style cylinder, but the hoses remain stationary during operation, making it an ideal choice for wider engine wells. Installation is simple, and performance is impressive when compared with conventional cable steering. Paired with the Model 401N8 helm, the kit is supplied complete and ready to fit, with everything required for installation and first fill included.
