The HyDrive 512T is a single-ended tube mount hydraulic steering cylinder for outboards and stern drives, supplied as an individual component. It suits single outboards up to 135HP, or twin counter-rotating outboards up to 250HP total, and is commonly used as a replacement cylinder or to build a custom hydraulic steering system where the helm, fluid and tubing are being sourced separately. The 512T cylinder screws directly onto the outboard motor's tilt-tube or pivot-tube, in exactly the same way as a conventional cable steering unit, and requires very little clearance to the side of the outboard motor.
