HyDrive Ultra-15 is a purpose-built hydraulic fluid developed over many years by HyDrive in partnership with a major oil company, specifically for manual hydraulic steering systems. It's the specified fluid across the full Commander and Admiral range, used as the first-fill in every complete kit and available here separately for top-ups, bleeding, or fluid changes. Most commercial hydraulic oils are formulated for high-speed piston and gear pumps, which run with considerably more operating clearance than a manual steering helm, which turns slowly and needs to generate high pressure. Ultra-15 is engineered around that difference, delivering up to 25% more pressure than industrial hydraulic oils for the same input effort at the wheel. The result is lighter steering, less wear on the helm and cylinder, and a longer service life for the whole system. Available as a single 1 litre bottle for routine top-ups, or a carton of 10 x 1 litre bottles for workshops and installers working across multiple systems.
