Please note: a minimum of 10 must be purchased in any one order. NGK's Standard Plugs are constructed for longer life and optimum performance. This plug has an inductive resistor design for use with capacitive discharge ignition systems that have a much lower voltage output. This is achieved by utilising a coiled nickel wire inserted into the stem and held in place by a spring. The coil acts as an electromagnet, inducing a magnetic field around the center stem, creating a natural "field" resistor. This type of resistor creates around 40ohms of physical resistance, compared to the 1000-5000ohms of resistance in typical monolithic resistor plugs. This spark plug features trivalent metal plating for superior anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties, as well as corrugated ribs to prevent flashover. It also includes a pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator to provide superior strength and better heat transfer. Additionally, a copper core aids in heat removal and a triple seal prevents leakage.
