This reef anchor is a popular fisherman's anchor coated in a hot-dipped galvanised finish. When using it to anchor on a reef, if the prongs become snagged they are designed to straighten with the retrieval load, allowing the anchor to detach from the reef. This is a folding-style anchor, which allows you to fold the prongs sideways into each other so the anchor becomes flat, providing for easy storage (see images).
