This waste water tank kit comes complete with the macerator pump pre-mounted and connected to the tank. The system includes the tank, macerator, elbow fitting, gas vent, activated carbon filter, and a control panel with probe for monitoring tank levels. This holding tank system is moulded from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDP) resin. Polyethylene is the ideal material for holding tanks due to its resistance to corrosion and odour permeation, ensuring a lifespan longer than that of a typical fiberglass hull. With extra-thick walls to prevent unpleasant smells from escaping, the tank can also be fitted with an activated carbon filter to further block any vented odours. Each tank is equipped with two discharge outlets: one for connection to a deck-mounted discharge fitting, and the other for connection to an overboard discharge pump. The one-hose connection is located on the top of the tank, eliminating the risk of leaks from faulty connections below liquid level. The tank's unique dip-tube design reduces the risk of clogging while keeping residual contents in the tank to a minimum. The holding tank must not be exposed to temperatures above 120°F (45°C) and should be kept away from heat sources such as engine manifolds, water heaters, and generators. Be sure to calculate the holding tank’s filled weight (waste water weighs approx. 9 lbs per gallon / 1.08 kg per liter). Allow for this total filled weight when selecting mounting materials and consider the effect of a full tank on vessel trim.
