This Plug n Play wireless receiver uses the same port as the Sherpa wired hand remote. No need to run the wired control cables back into the cabin. Allows the user to move freely with the winch rope or cable, great for winch recoveries when caught by yourself. Features: Weatherproof, shock-resistant housing. Plugs directly into the 4 pin port on your Sherpa 4x4 control box Receiver requires no batteries as it utilises the wired hand controller power supply when connected. The ultimate in reliability, store the receiver and remote inside your vehicle. Works on 12V or 24V winches (not compatible with ATV winches). Note: The wireless remote kit will not work with other brands, such as Warn winches. Sherpa 4x4 Winch Wireless Controller - Pairing Ensure your winch is installed and working correctly via a wired remote. Plug in your wireless receiver box instead of the wired controller. Remove the positive (+) cable from the battery or winch to ensure there is no power being applied to the receiver. Turn your remote on by holding the top button for ~3 seconds. The red light should illuminate. Press and hold IN and OUT on the wireless remote together at the same time (note, this step should be held until you finish step 5). Power the receiver within 1.5 seconds of Step 4 by reconnecting the positive cable to the battery (while holding IN and OUT buttons as detailed in step 4). Pairing should now be completed and the remote should function normally. If this does not work, please repeat the steps, then contact us.
